Wuerzburg, Germany, really is a beautiful Baroque City and has become famous as the centre of Franconian wine production. Situated along a stretch known as the ‘Romantic Road’ because of the town’s outstanding beauty, Wuerzburg can bring out the true romantic in anyone.
Hi, My name is Dave and I have Lived in Wuerzburg, and now I live in a town called Veitshoechheim just 7 Km outside Wuerzburg. I have lived here for 22years and came here from England. I know my way around Wuerzburg and the surounding area very well.

There are various events going on in Wuerzburg and the surrounding areas.
Besides the traditional Wurzburg wine festivals throughout the year there are a lot of other festivals to enjoy. The Wurzburg Mozart Festival, the Bach Festival, Europe's largest African cultural Festival and the Wurzburg Jazz Festival are all famous sights of Wurzburg Germany!

29.5.- 1.8. 2010 Art Exhibition At the Kulturspeicher. Take a tour through this exhibition of masterpieces such as Monet,Rodin,barlach, Klee and many more. With 53 works and 37 artists this is a must see Color Worlds- from Monet to Yves Klein www.kulturspeicher.de
2.-18. 7. 2010 Kiliani Fair: The largest fair in the area stats with a parade though the city showcasing local people wearing traditional outfits. the fest is here for 2 weeks. You can enjoy beer the was specially brewed for this fair. Or take the Kids on some of the many rides that are here. There is also a 5000 seat tent serving food, beer or soft drinks with entertainment to get you in the right mood all day long.
14.-26. 7. 2010 Fest on the Stein: enjoy the wine and food, surrounded by vineyards.Take in the magnificent views of the Festung Castle and the pilgrimage Church on the otherside of the river Main. 30. 7. -2. 8. 2010 Barbarossa Medieval Festival: This spectacular event is named after th 12th centry Emperor Friedrich Barbarosso. It takes place at the Marienberg Fortress on the other side of the river Main. Join the jousting knights jesters, storytellers, merry merchants for a week of life in the medieval times. 30. 7. - 31. 7. 2010 Buergerspital Phaffenberg Wine Party: The party is in the courtyard of the Buergerspital. You can listen to live music including Jass and Blues, while testing wines from this very old wine makers selection.
5.8. 2010 Under the Stars: Around 1000 guests dine under the stars enjoying a 4- course menu prepared by local restaurateurs offering a high end open air culinary event. A selection of Franconian wines are served with the menue
